Live Music at Member Appreciation Weekend

Rainbow over the Pavilion Rainbow over the Pavilion Sugandha Brooks

Live Music is back for Member Appreciation Weekend Friday night July 28 and Saturday night July 29.

Friday July 28 from 8 pm-Midnight The Alcapones perform.

The Alcapones is a Ska and Reggae band formed high in the Rockies of Colorado's Front Range in 2012. Their original songs draw heavily on inspiration from the groundbreaking sound of 1960'S & 70'S Jamaican Ska, Reggae, Rocksteady and Dub music. The result is an eclectic sound that can be enjoyed by a wide variety of musical tastes - everything from old-school Ska, Heavy Dub, Funky Reggae, to Island Bluegrass. The Alcapone's groovy recipe is sure to continuously inspire your feet on the dance floor - this is mountain music at its finest!

Saturday July 29 from 8 pm-Midnight Banshee Tree perform.

"Banshee Tree is a band that has a sound as eclectic as its own members, spanning the dimensions of music in a brave new way. The quartet's style is unique in how it crosses the boundaries of rock, punk, swing, and Django jazz—named after Belgium-born French guitarist Jean "Django" Reinhardt, who remains one of the most relevant European jazz guitarists of all time.

But Banshee Tree's sound, as described by its members, can't be pigeon-holed within the confines of the aforementioned genres.

"Django jazz influenced for sure, but we can crank it up to a higher tempo and turn it into dance music, kind of like Golgol Bordello," said Michelle Pietrafitta (drums/vocals)."
