Respect Wildlife

Keep food inside cars or cabins. Bears and other wild animals are drawn by scent endangering us and them. Although generally harmless, avoid contact.

OLT's open space hosts a variety of fascinating wildlife including bears, snakes, and our infamous bats. But perhaps best known are our mule deer who've grown remarkably trusting of people. Although tempting, we ask that guests not feed wildlife for their own health and safety. For this reason, we also ask that campsites be kept clean and food be kept in vehicles or at the Communal Oak House.
